Drawing on BLS, Lightcast, LinkedIn, College Scorecard, and O*NET, this talk examines career trends, educational outcomes, and the knowledge and skills different fields require. It then connects those findings to choices students can make now: exploring a field in depth, testing their interests through real experiences, and learning to explain their thinking in their own words. Abstract 

AI has raised individual productivity, yet most organizations still struggle to convert those gains into measurable enterprise value. Leadership in the AI era is therefore less about adopting tools and more about redesigning work holistically, clarifying which tasks should be assisted versus automated, and building talent that combines domain judgment with the capacity to direct intelligent systems. Leaders must also manage the gap between technology capability and organizational readiness, measure real contribution rather than activity, and decide whether AI will strengthen shared processes or fragment them into individual capability. The future workforce will reward those who can identify bottlenecks, redesign systems, and exercise judgment that agents cannot yet replace.  Similarly, quantifying AI's impact on the organizational development has stirred up anxieties among the executives, for which empirical validation from the field is largely lacking or missing.

Topic: From Models to Agentic Systems: How AI Is Transforming Healthcare

Dr. Steve Jiang received his Ph.D. in Medical Physics from Medical College of Ohio in 1998. After completing his postdoctoral training at Stanford University, he joined Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School in 2000 as an Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology. In 2007, Dr. Jiang was recruited to University of California San Diego (UCSD) as a tenured Associate Professor to build Center for Advanced Radiotherapy Technologies, for which he was the founding and executive director. He was then promoted to Full Professor with tenure in 2011. At UCSD, Dr. Jiang pioneered in utilizing GPU for healthcare supercomputing, with his team developing over 40 toolkits to speed up medical imaging and cancer radiotherapy tasks. In October 2013, Dr. Jiang joined University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center as a tenured Full Professor, Barbara Crittenden Professor in Cancer Research (until 2025) and David A. Pistenmaa, M.D., Ph.D. Distinguished Chair in Radiation Oncology (starting 2025), Vice Chair for Digital Health and AI of Radiation Oncology Department, and Director of Medical Physics and Engineering Division. Dr. Jiang is a Fellow of Institute of Physics, American Association of Physicists in Medicine, and American Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering. Dr. Jiang's research in various areas of cancer radiotherapy has been funded by federal, state, charitable, and industrial grants for over 20 million dollars, resulting in over 300 peer-reviewed journal papers with an H-index of 97. His current research interest is on the development and deployment of artificial intelligence technologies to solve medical problems. ABSTRACT

Artificial intelligence is rapidly evolving from algorithms that perform narrowly defined tasks to intelligent systems capable of reasoning, using tools, coordinating workflows, and interacting with people. In healthcare, this evolution has the potential to move AI beyond isolated predictions and toward integrated support across the patient journey. This presentation will trace the progression from classical machine learning to deep learning and, more recently, to agentic AI, emphasizing what each transition enables in real clinical environments. Using examples from radiation oncology, including personalized treatment planning, automated clinical trial matching, workflow validation, performance monitoring, and multi-agent treatment planning, the talk will illustrate how AI can improve quality, efficiency, consistency, and personalization. These examples also highlight a broader opportunity across healthcare: AI systems that can assemble information from fragmented data sources, coordinate specialized models and software tools, monitor changing clinical conditions, identify potential problems, and support clinicians with evidence-linked recommendations. The emergence of agentic systems also introduces new challenges. Clinical deployment requires more than model accuracy. It demands careful validation, continuous performance monitoring, uncertainty management, transparent escalation, appropriate limits on autonomy, and sustained human oversight. Rather than replacing healthcare professionals, the most consequential role of AI may be to augment their capabilities, reduce routine cognitive and operational burden, and enable them to focus more attention on judgment, communication, and complex decision making. The next phase of healthcare AI will therefore be defined not simply by better models, but by trustworthy intelligent systems that work effectively with people and within clinical workflows.

Beyond his professional achievements, Tony is deeply committed to mentorship and community involvement. He has chaired leadership organizations, mentored first-generation college students, and received recognition as an outstanding active member of Alpha Phi Omega. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Lockheed Martin’s Professional Asian-American Network. Tony strongly believes in working hard, supporting others, and giving back to the community.

Celine Truong built communities before she built products. At UCLA she founded SEATED and led a team of seven to grow a mentorship community of more than 580 members. After graduating cum laude, she took that instinct to Dallas, where she has curated 31 dinners and events. 

When her dad told her he has type 2 diabetes and it was hard for him to find food to eat that fits his needs she couldn't stop asking: what is really in the food we eat, and is it right for me? That question became Clem, an AI-powered food scanning app now live on the App Store. Clem scores food at the ingredient level against each person's own restrictions. Celine has done more than 200 user interviews and built Clem's go-to-market from scratch. She was also selected for the DivInc accelerator, placing in the top 3% of applicants. By day she works in operations at Gartner, supporting federal clients, and she writes about the journey on Substack, Instagram and Tiktok. 

Miniie Zheng is the Co-founder and CEO of Ommo Technologies, Inc., the pioneer of theworld's first permanent magnet-based 3D tracking technology. This innovative technology serves as the foundation of spatial intelligence for physical AI, enhancing digital interactions and transforming surgical navigation and humanoid robots. Ommo has raised over $40 million in funding from leading VCs and has grown to serve more than 120 companies across Asia, Europe, and the Americas.

Eric Yang is an accomplished technology entrepreneur recognized for his product vision, strategic leadership, and ability to build high-performing teams. Under his leadership, Topaz Labs grew from a small company of about a dozen employees to more than 70, achieved rapid revenue growth, served millions of customers, and was ultimately acquired by Adobe.

Eric distinguished Topaz Labs by focusing on transformative applications of AI in image and video enhancement. This strategy earned significant industry recognition, including a 2025 Technology & Engineering Emmy Award for its AI-based video enhancement technology.
