ACP Student AI Championship

The annual Student AI Championship is an exciting competition that brings together young innovators to explore the power of artificial intelligence through hands-on challenges. This year's theme, AWS DeepRacer, invites students to dive into the world of autonomous driving and machine learning by training and racing their own virtual cars. Participating in the championship helps students develop critical skills in coding, data analysis, and AI development, while also encouraging creativity, teamwork, and real-world problem-solving.

Race Time: 5/18/2025

10:00am - 2:00pm PST

12:00pm - 04:00pm CST

01:00pm - 5:00pm EST

You'll be invited within 48 hours after you submit the registration form.

Important Things You Need to Know

  1. Zoom Interview:
You’ll need to join the Zoom bridge for the interview. The good news is that not all team members are required—only designated team representatives need to participate in the live championship event and interview. Please ensure your audio and video are working properly. Interview times will take place during the championship, and the order will be shared in a separate email.
  2. Model Submission Deadline:
Teams must submit their model before the live race begins. The submission queue will close at
12:00 PM CST (10:00 AM PST / 1:00 PM EST), and no submissions will be accepted after that. Only the last model submitted by your team will be counted, so please double-check that your final submission is the correct one.
  3. Race Order and Broadcast:
Cars will run in the order of the submission queue. The race will be broadcast live for everyone to watch.

Q&A

Q: Is it okay to clone a model?
A:
Yes, but you must provide the total training time, including the time spent training the original model.

Q: Can individuals participate in the race?
A:
Yes, individuals are welcome to participate. However, we highly encourage students to form teams to collaborate and have more fun! The maximum team size is 6 members.
