Participant Age Range: 3 years old to high school students 

Registration Period: October 1 – November 24

Competition Date: December 7, 2024, 9am-1pm

Chinese New Year Celebration and Winner's Showcase Date: January 18, 2025, 2pm- 4pm

Chinese New Year Celebration and Winner's Showcase Location: 903 W Parker Rd, Plano 75023

Registration Fees:

· Individual: $20 per person

· Group: $15 per person

Requirements for entries

1. Type of entries:

Entries must be Chinese classics, Tang poetry and Song lyrics, or other healthy and positive recitation works.

2. Types of competition: poetry recitation and poetry performance.

• Poetry recitation: 1-2 people, recitation, no singing, no dancing, etc., or auxiliary props. Can recite more than one poem. Poetry recitation limit: 1:30 minutes (plus/ minus 15 seconds)

• Poetry performance: 3 or more people, maximum of 15 people. Contestants can present in the form of comprehensive artistic performances, such as recitation combined with music, dance, etc., to enhance artistic expression. Poetry performance time limit: 2 minutes (plus/ minus 15 seconds)
