Objectives

Empower future leaders and innovators through continual learning, practices and mentorship from the vast ACP network. We aim to cultivate a generation of ethical, adaptable and inclusive leaders who will drive positive change, fuel innovation, and address global challenges.

1. Leadership Training 1: Visit Richardson City Office

1/13/24 - 3/30/24

We will visit and learn about Richardson Office, understanding the roles and responsibilities, as well as the city planning and development.


2. Individual / Group Projects

1/29/2024 - 5/24/24

Students start individual or group projects and form study groups.

3. Leadership Seminar Series

2/18/24 - 5/24/24

Leadership Seminar series start. We'll have highly experienced professionals speak to the students on various subjects.

Past Activities in Fall 2023

1. Youth Tech Leadership Camp Training

2pm on 10/7, 10/14, 10/21, 10/28

Expert instructors provide lessons and guidance on the fundamental technology topics.

2. Individual / Group Projects

3. ACP Youth Hackathon

ACP MetroCode: 11/1 - 11/5

All projects are submitted for 2023 Youth MetroCode competitions. Register here

4. Presentation skill training, Parent meeting

Early November

Students will be trained on professional presentation skills for their hackathon projects. Highly experienced Professionals in youth science and technology innovation education field will share with our parents on how to help students with their skill development.

5. Ceremony & Awards

6:30pm - 8:30pm 11/11

Time to celebrate everyone's progress! Winners will be invited to ACP evening banquet to receive the awards in Plano Event Center on 11/11.

6. Student Officer & Coach Recruiting, Metrohacks

11/15-12/15

The ACP Youth Leadership Institute is commencing its recruitment for additional student officers and coaches. We'll also be hosting a holiday social for everyone in this family!
